Know Before You Go: Tennessee Valley Fair Opens September 5

KNOXVILLE, TN (September 4, 2025) – The wait is almost over! The 105th Tennessee Valley Fair opens its gates on Friday, September 5, bringing ten days of food, fun, music, and memories to Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center. Before you head out for your favorite Fair traditions, here’s what you need to know before you go.

Hours & Admission

The Fair runs September 5–14, 2025. Gates opening varies by day:

Friday, Sept. 5 - 4:30pm (rides open at 4:30pm)

Saturday, Sept. 6 - 10am (rides open at 11am)

Sunday, Sept. 7 - 12pm (rides open at 1pm)
Monday, Sept. 8 - 10am (closed from 1pm-5pm / rides open at 10am, close 1pm-5pm, open again at 5pm)
Tuesday, Sept. 9 - 10am (closed from 2pm-5pm / rides open at 5pm)
Wednesday, Sept. 10 - 5pm (rides open at 5pm)
Thursday, Sept. 11 - 5pm (rides open at 5pm)
Friday, Sept. 12 - 5pm (rides open at 5pm)
Saturday, Sept. 13 - 10am (rides open at 11am)
Sunday, Sept. 14 - 12pm (rides open at 1pm)

Tickets & Discounts

Save time and money by purchasing tickets in advance at tnvalleyfair.org. Ride wristbands and admission tickets are available online and at the gate. Keep an eye out for daily promotions, including special pricing for Senior Citizens Day, Hometown Heroes Day, and Tennessee Education Lottery Day.

Agriculture & Exhibits

Don’t miss the Fair’s agricultural roots at Ag Alley, Down on the Farm, and a full lineup of livestock shows. Explore arts and crafts exhibits, youth competitions, and creative displays throughout the Kerr and Jacob Buildings.

Food & Rides

From funnel cakes to corn dogs and everything fried in between, the Fair Midway is packed with fan favorites and new treats. Thrill-seekers can enjoy exciting rides courtesy of Kissel Entertainment, plus family-friendly favorites in Kiddie Land.

Parking & Entry

Parking is available at designated nearby lots. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, especially on weekends. Clear bags and standard safety procedures will be in place at all entry gates.

Fireworks

End every night with a bang! The Tennessee Valley Fair presents nightly fireworks sponsored by the Tennessee Education Lottery.
