7th Cotton Candy Classic 5K at the Tennessee Valley Fair
Knoxville, TN (August 5, 2025) – Lace up your running shoes and get ready for the sweetest race of the year! The 7th annual Cotton Candy Classic 5K is happening at the Tennessee Valley Fair, and runners, walkers, and even skippers are invited to join in on the fun. Whether you're a competitive racer or simply out to enjoy a leisurely stroll, this event is designed for everyone to experience the excitement and magic of the Fair while supporting a great cause.
The race will take place on Saturday, September 6, kicking off at 8:00 a.m. at Patriot Circle inside Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center. As participants make their way through the scenic course, they’ll be treated to all the sights that make the Tennessee Valley Fair a beloved East Tennessee tradition.
The Cotton Candy Classic 5K isn’t just a race, it’s an opportunity to give back to the community. All proceeds benefit the Tennessee Valley Fair Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving East Tennessee’s heritage, promoting agricultural awareness, and investing in the next generation through educational programs, youth scholarships, and hands-on activities.
