What's New at the TN Valley Fair 2023
KNOXVILLE, TENN. (July 25, 2023) - The Tennessee Valley Fair has new activities, events, competitions, and more coming this year! Below is a list of what is new:

Ag Alley – “Learn About Ag” This interactive exhibit includes live demos of sheep shearing, milking a simulated dairy cow, planting seeds, visiting with real cows, and more! Additionally on-site is “Snap, Crackle, and Crop” - the Tennessee Valley Fair’s greenhouse. While there, fairgoers can learn about soil conservation, how to properly clean water for crops and animals, best methods on planting, and more.

Fair-ly Big Tailgate
Presented by Visit Knoxville
Fairgoers can watch the University of Tennessee versus the University of Florida football game. The big game will be screened in a dedicated tailgate area for attendees. Yard games are available to enjoy in tailgate area.

Giant Cornhole
10-foot cornhole boards and big bean bags are on-site to try!

The G.O.A.T. Silent Disco
We are taking the meaning of “G.O.A.T.” to the next level: a silent disco with actual goats! A silent disco will help raise proceeds for the Tennessee Valley Fair Foundation. Attendees can boogie with headphones with the option of three different music stations and are able to interact and dance with goats.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Creatives young to senior: take part in the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. The top pumpkin artists will receive prizes.

RoboCars
Calling car lovers! This year’s newest strolling act: RoboCars!

Smoky Mountain Woodworks – Chainsaw Artist
Local chainsaw artist Russell Cotter will show off his exquisite skills of chainsaw artistry. He will transform wood into our beloved mascot Jasper the Rooster!

Tea Party
Young fairgoers can enjoy a little afternoon tea hosted by the Fairest of the Fair! Activities include making a fairy terrarium, sipping tea, and eating cookies.

Wheels of Agriculture
Wheels of Agriculture is an audience interactive, trivia-based game show! Players answer questions about agriculture, animals, plants, food groups, farms and barnyards, music, and other sounds.

The 103rd Tennessee Valley Fair will take place September 8th-17th at historic Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center.
