Tennessee Valley Fair's Kickoff to Summer Taking Place June 17th
KNOXVILLE, TENN. (June 8, 2023) – The Tennessee Valley Fair is hosting its inaugural "Kickoff to Summer" event on Saturday, June 17th from 11am-8pm. The free event will have many activities for everyone to enjoy.
Attendees will be able to take part in several competitions including a Pedal Pull Tractor Race, LEGO Build, and even the Best Mullet Contest with the winner taking home two tickets to see Travis Tritt in concert on Tuesday, Sept. 12. Each competition offers a different prize including Tennessee Valley Fair merchandise, a LEGO kit, and tickets to this year's Tennessee Valley Fair.
Additionally, Little Ponderosa Zoo will be in attendance with several animals, yard games to play, inflatables for kids to enjoy, demonstrations, karaoke from 5-8pm, and several community organizations will be taking part.
Several food vendors will be offering delicious food for everyone to enjoy along with an airbrush artist and face painting artist.
Kickoff to Summer is a free event for everyone with the exception of food, drinks, and certain vendors.
The location of Kickoff to Summer is where the Tennessee Valley Fair occurs each year, Chilhowee Park and Exposition Center at 3301 E. Magnolia Avenue. The event will be held in the "Kiddie Land" portion at the corner of Magnolia Avenue and N. Beaman Street.
