KNOXVILLE, TENN. (September 12, 2019) – Pageants are a tradition of fairs across the country and at the Tennessee Valley Fair, there's no exception. This year's pageant winners have been selected after several days of competition.
Six pageants were offered, and two new pageants were added this year: Tennessee Valley Fair Lady and Tennessee Valley Fair Woman. “We are excited to have added two new pageants this year” said Kristin Maupin, Director of Pageants, “We now offer pageants for everyone of every age. Our goal is to make this a life-long tradition for women in our area.”
The Fairest of the Fair celebrated its 61st year as a competition at the Tennessee Valley Fair. Bayli Alley of LaFollette, Tennessee was crowned this year’s Fairest of the Fair. She will serve 2019-2020 as the official ambassador to the Fair and additionally received a scholarship for secondary education. Bayli is no stranger to the Tennessee Valley Fair; she previously served as Princess and Junior Fairest of the Fair. Reese Brandau of Powell, Tennessee was crowned the 13th Junior Fairest of the Fair. During these two pageants, over $1,000 was raised to donate to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
