Does anyone recognize this view?
It's the Homer Hamilton Amphitheatre where all of our headlining entertainment takes place! The photo featured was taken in 1954.
Built in 1953, the Homer Hamilton Theatre was a great addition to the Fair and still serves us to this day.
The theatre is named in honor of Dr. Homer Hamilton, a life-long veterinarian with a love of horses. He was accepted onto the livestock committee for the 1911 Appalachian Exposition, served as a director of the Tennessee Valley Fair, and much, much more. As one of his associates said, "He loved the Fair, it was just a part of his life." which rang true until he passed away in 1979.
Thank you, Dr. Homer Hamilton for your dedication to the Tennessee Valley Fair!
