AGRICULTURE

THE HEART OF THE FAIR

Agriculture is an integral component of our regional industry, economy and community. However, few East Tennesseans possess a working knowledge of the essential role agriculture plays in our everyday lives. From the food we eat to the products we use, agriculture is at the heart of virtually all that we consume.

The Tennessee Valley Fair is a non-profit 501 c3 organization that exists to celebrate East Tennessee agriculture. Showcasing regional agriculture has been an essential part of our event for nearly 100 years.

Each year, the Tennessee Valley Fair is proud to offer a link between urban and rural Tennessee, serving as an essential venue for educating East Tennesseans about the importance of agriculture. In 2016, the TVF was proud to award over $40,000 in premium money to youth exhibitors, 18 and under.

So, enjoy the rides, funnel cakes and concerts, but don't forget to experience one of our great ag-related attractions.
